WPA pass word

Let me start by saying i am not the least bit computer savey so be kind.

I have just purchased a Seagate GoFlex Satellite when trying to hook it up to the WiFi it asks for the WPA password it asks for this on every device I try to connect to it. It is doing this right from first hook up I have not installed or activated password well not that I know I have done. It works via the cable on my Macbook but as i said the WiFi keeps asking for this password I have tried entering all my usuall passwords in case I did some how activate it but no luck. What would the password be and how do I reset it?

Re: WPA pass word

No idea what the password would be, and this strongly suggest that you don't have a **new** GoFlex Satellite. What you need to do, is press the reset button on the bottom of the drive. (Between the label and the side of the drive near where the power plugs in.) This will return its settings to the default values. You can use a toothpick to press the button in the hole. Are you sure you are attempting to connect to the GFS? Good Luck!

Re: WPA pass word

So the only solution is to take it back to the seller?
