just bought the Satellite.
Mostly going to be used for movie/tv shows. Either in mp4, avi or mkv
no problem with mp4 or avi playback - it defaults to my chosen mediaplayer, Dice Player
But when I try to play an mkv file, the Goflex app asks me to choose a web-browser, and when I do pick one (say default browser), it asks me to select two other media players, neither of which work well with mkv.
I know Diceplayer plays back mkv just fine, it's that I can't get my Android tablet to give me the option of using Diceplayer
Last night, I didn't have this problem, but it's started this morning
I've uninstalled Goflex/media player apps/cleared cache/etc but no change
anyone got any ideas? Thanks

I've installed Samba on the goflex - this essentially turns the seagate into a windows file share, then I just point my file explorer at the LAN and it finds the share and I can open any files I want - as I would on the computer, in this case the Android OS then asks me what players I want to open.
This should work for you as well, but then you wouldn't be using the seagate app / interface and you might need to invest in a file explorer that can do LAN.
