not sure how to set up goflex satellite with my mac

hello i bought a goflex satellite today, and i plugged it into my mac, and turned it on. but nothing shows up. the quick guide mentions that i have to install a driver, that is found on the drive, which i cannot access.

 

 

is there something that i doing wrong?

You Mac by default hides the external drive icons from your desktop. Turn that preference on from Finder, Preferences, General and show external drives. 

 

You may also want to check if the drive is mounted via Disk Utility. Remember that it has to be NTFS formatted in order for it to work. 

 

Seagate provided a Paragon NTFS for Mac so that you are able to write files into the NTFS Formatted Satellite.
