Does Seagate plan to support 64 bit operating systems soon? I am so disappointed that ny new 1TB Central Axis NAS can not be managed from my HP laptop which came with Vista 64. Most new Windows PCs are coming with 64 bit OS now...
Hey, I rebooted my laptop and the Maxtor Manager admin software now appears to be functioning in Vista Home Premium 64bit OS. Although rebooting was not mentioned in the documentation as a require step, apparently it is. My software is release 2.50.0031
I just purchased a vista 64 bit system not knowing that it was going to be this difficult to get a backup software to work with it. I purchased the computer from Dell and the only way that they offered the system was with 64 bit. I just looked at a add in the Sunday paper for Dell and almost every system offered in the add only came with the the 64bit OS. I think it is definitely here now since most systems are being offered with 4 g of memory and more. We need to get with the times because 64 bit is not going to be a small market share for long. The demand is definitely HERE!!!!!!!!
