I am trying to gain access to my Maxtor Shared Storage II Drive, it is 500Gb. Perhaps a year ago it was set up with my old PC, but due to it breaking down i am trying to connect it with my laptop. I have installed Maxtor Easy Manage, but when double clicked i get the error message "Maxtor Easy Manage is already open" and it closes and that is that.
It does not appear in my networks section, and i have valuable items stored onto it that i would like to get ahold of asap.
It is connected via ethenet cable.
Is there any way of accessing it? IP address? Etc?
