Circuit board repair to a Maxtor Shared Storage Drive

Looking to find a short term fix to retrieve data off my Maxtor Shared Storage Drive Model H01R300

I thought I lost the power cord, so I took the unit apart and tried to plug the drive in using a SATA/IDE to USB adapter, but found out that the drive is of a propitiatory format.  Some how in putting it back together and plugging it in I think I shorted the 12V TVS.

I have read that by removing the TVS, the unit should work, but I'm not exactly sure of where the TVS is.  I have attached a photo of the circuit board and if anyone can provide further info, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, if this work around doesn't work, would anyone know where I might find another circuit board or get this one replaced.  A schematic would work as well

I did try downloading DiskInternals to try and read the drive, but it didn't seem to find any files

thanks

The link to your photo appears to be local to your computer. You need to upload the photo to a file sharing service.

If you intend to replace your PCB, be aware that you will most likely need to transplant the EEPROM chip from patient to donor. This is because the EEPROM stores unique, drive specific, calibration data.

See the following article for help in identifying the components.

"but found out that the drive is of a propitiatory format."

are these drives not EXT2/3 ? if not , what are they?

If so your USB adaptor would work under a linux distro live CD.
