How long does it really take to get a responce from tech support?

I have been reading this string, as I too am having issues with the server not accepting the password setup on it. my first case to tech support was on jan 21st and have recieved no reply. yesterday it was posted that they were closed due to weather and sofar today they dont respond to a chat session. if we can't get help here and tech support really isn't there to help where do we go for help. if our moderators here are not able to help can seagate get someone on here who can help?

Thanks for your participation in the our forums so far. Please remember that this is an online community where many of the responses come from other users, such as yourself. The forum is not a replacement for Customer Service. Seagate representative do from time to time come to lend a hand answering posts but not necessarily on a continual or frequent basis. If you have immediate needs, your best bet is to contact Customer Service directly whether by phone, email, or chat.  Support is back up today.

On the phone for over an hour... still no help

 

No form help...

 

No live help...

 

No help from Maxtor...

 

No help from Seagate...

 

WOW..

 

Please return your product and buy something else. With support.

I would return this product ASAP and BUY Western Digital!!!!  GREAT SUPPORT under 5 min to get someone..

 

I'm going to return this crud tomorrow :smileyhappy: and tell all my friends not to support this junk.

Hello:

I am really sorry for the delay you have experienced. I am sure it is frustrating. Seagate Support's email software experienced a glitch that caused them to lose track of thousands of emails until recently. The email backlog still exists and they are working on it, but it will take time. If you have immediate needs, please contact Tech Support by telephone.  If you experience long hold times, I recommend calling when they open at 8 am CST - traffic is lighter then.
