I worked out what may be wrong with your system; the Username is "admin", not the name you gave the disk (or the one it suggested itself - MCA something). If you enter admin as username, and the password you gave, I think you'll be able to get in touch with the darn thing again.
I also think I have worked out what the error message above means, namely that Windows Explorer can see the Maxtor Central Axis, and that isn't allowed (because it is then already logged on there before you try to log it on via the Maxtor software). But I can't work out how to solve that because no "disconnect" options appear when I right-click on the icons in Explorer.
