After reading all the Gigabit related posts I've found NO solutions to this problem. Is this drive falsely advertised as a Gigabit rated device? Has anyone gotten Gigabit speeds to work on this drive at all? Can anyone confirm it?
I have a fully functioning Gigabit network setup at home (Router, NICs, and Cat6 cables) and the only rated Gigabit device that is NOT working to spec is my Maxtor Shared Storage II 1TB Single Drive.
I've tried everything from enabling the Jumbo Frame (both 4k and 8k) to modifying my registry all to no avail.
I'm running Vista SP1 32-bit with a Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet card on a Linksys Gigabit router. What could I possibly be missing?

So after 46 views no one here on the support side, nor on the consumer side, can confirm this at all?
Does the Maxtor Shared Storage II 1TB Single Drive actually have a working (confirmable) gigabit connector or does the box it came in merely SAY it does?
Will someone on the Seagate support team please step up?
