I have a Maxtor Shared Storage II 320gb as specified in the title. I have properly setup an admin account and can login to it fine with no problems; however, upon creating users via Admin CP I cannot find the users on the Maxtor EasyManager program. Additionally, users created via Maxtor EasyManager are the only users I can view despite the other users created within admin.
There seems to be a bug or miscommunication when creating users from the admin panel in comparison to the Maxtor EasyManager software.
Furthermore, the accounts viewable on the Maxtor EasyManager software seem to all return with the error as follows:
On an XP System: "Login Failure: Bad Password (1326)
On a Win7 System: "Specified Error Password is not correct (86)
I understand that the software is "incompatible" with Win7 yet the compatible version of XP Pro SP2 still returns all users with the wrong passwords. Considering my efforts to change the user passwords for the past 5 hours within the Admin CP and creating new users in the Maxtor EasyManager, all attempts have failed.
I have already tried connecting to the Maxtor Shared Storage II with the username and password settings like in Here, but it still wont allow me to login. I can locate the Maxtor SS II with my 2Wire 3800HGB-V Router. Both my Win7 and Win XP machines can see both computers and the Maxtor drive in the network settings. This thread and This Thread both seem to have the same issue as me but were not helpful.
Please help me.
