maxtor central access - network path not found (53)

new windows 7 laptop. cannot connect to maxtor central access.

ran disc, have maxtor manager installed on desktop.

maxtor manager finds device

select device, the select backup.

message box, "...need user account..."

"click here..."

maxtor manager finds name.

enter password, click connect,then

the error

"The network path was not found. (53).

 

Please help.

What happens when you try connecting to your Maxtor Central Axis from another computer that has i.e. Windows XP installed?

The MCA isn't supported with Windows 7. Additionally it's only supported with 32-bit operating systems.
