Hello!
I have a asus g73jh laptop with momentus 500gb drives,
I bought my computer like 4 months ago and since day one ive had problems with these drives, i just recently updated my drives to sd24 but i still have alot of hickups, ive had like 2 or 3 just by typing in this.
This isn't my main problem however, yesterday i bought Crysis 2, this game runs pretty good on my computer! By that i mean that my FPS is good and doesnt drop alot!
However! I have alloooooooooot of stuttering and hickups, the main problem is the music, i dont know how i can explain this, but you know when you have a scratched CD and you want to play it you hear the same thing over and over. It's just like that, suddenly it freezes and the music cant seem to follow up so everything gets delayed.
Does anyone else who have crysis 2 experience this? Sofar i haven't found anything about this at google or anywhere else.
I would really like to hear what experiences others with momentus have with crysis 2, i just need too confirm that the drives are making the game bad and not other hardware.
And by the way, the SD24 fixed some of the stuttering! But it never fixed the music.
BTW: This happens on alot of other games aswell, not only crysis 2
I would appreciate any comments on this.

I wish I'd read around before posting my post: http://forums.seagate.com/t5/Momentus-XT-Momentus-
Same issue. Essentially my games will drop from 60 FPS, and hiccup/stutter, and as you mentioned my music also does this. :-(

Yeah,
Seems like you have the same problem! Im so close to just ordering an SSD disk atm. This problem is getting really frustrating.

As I mentioned in my thread I wasn't sure if the issue was the drive, so I'm glad someone else seems to have the same issue. My symptoms:
- When playing music it'll occassionally stutter or freeze, looping the same audio for a few seconds then continue
- While playing League of Legends, my framerate will drop drastically from a solid 60 down to like 5, then shoot back up. The whole screen freezes at this point. LoL is a fairly time-reliant game, so a splitsecond lag causes frustration and rage :-(
- While playing Shogun Total War the game began 'looping' while I was scrolling around the map - an alt-tab fixed this however
And then the usual of videos (youtube etc.) doing the stuttering thing too.
I'm disheartened, as I purchased this after hearing a bunch of good reviews. I had a post here saying "Should I buy this" with a list of my negative Seagate experiences so far, and I threw caution to the wind to give this drive a shot. I hope I wasn't mistaken in my purchase :-(
