I believe many folks are under the misconception that the Hybrid drive never needs defragging. I believe this is wrong. I wrote an article (click here for article) where I tested the XT hybrid before and after defragging. I did this test after about a month's use of the drive. The defraging part of the article is toward the end of the article.

Hello. Would  you recommend a specialized defragmenting software like Diskeeper or Perfect Disk?

I would appreciate if you could give some details in case you disagree with this kind of solution.

The W7 defrag works fine. I've run the windows defrag on a clean harddrive and when it finished I checked in PerfectDisk which showed only .1% fragmentation which is what you get if you defrag using PerfectDisk.
