For Those Having Trouble Updating

When I first ran the windows utility or the iso image I wasn't able to perform the update. It would start fine, detect the drive then stop there. I left it for 15 minutes but nothing happened so I was forced to hard reboot. Through trial and error I discovered it was the SATA Mode Controller. Go into your bios, find the SATA Controller setting which is set to AHCI by default and change it to IDE. Now run the utility and let it do its thing and once its done and rebooted you can go back into bios and change it back to AHCI. Just a quick little tip since I saw in some posts others with the same issue.

Just bumping this because this seems to be a rather common issue.

how did those who installed SD25 get it working? I had factor sd23, updated to sd24. when i try to update to sd25 it tells me I have the correct hardware but the firmware is wrong and refuses to download the firmware update to the drive

Some people say they got it working though -- ?

Oh wow bios is disabled on mac? What you're having is an issue 90% of people are having and maybe 1% of them can fix it by using IDE over AHCI but you're in the same boat as I am. All we can do is for an update.

Re: For Those Having Trouble Updating

ACHI or IDE doesn't work for me so there's more than that.

Mac doesn't have bios, it has EFI (the Mac version of bios, but it isn't user changeable to my knowledge like bios is).

There's no place like http://127.0.0.1 .
