Information needed from other users on USB3 extention....

[ Edited ]

The USBV3 connector is on the back of the tower, under the desk...  Doesn't make for a comvienent access point for drives....

Until I got a Thumb drive that supported USB3, and now this USB3 access is downright painful.... Obviously, I could use the USBV2 ports, but that negates the speed of the interface......

What I'm looking for:   A high speed 2-3 port USB3 extention, that could sit on the tabletop, with maybe a 3' cord that could go down a cable access hole to the back of  the computer card slots, where the USB3 card resides...

What I'm finding:   Combination Card Reader/ USB3 ports that is maybe 18" in length... That will probably be too short...

Also finding 4-6 port extentions at great $$$.

I realize there is a cable length issue for USBV3 without a power adaptor... I don't care if it needs separate power wall wort...

I just need a Good/Fast  Adaptable (Support USBV3 AND 2)  and Affordable 2/3 Port extention with about 3' cord, so it can reach the back of the computer...

So I approach you folks for suggestions...   My XT drives in USBV3 enclosures (and  new Thumb Drive) will thank you for it...

Crawling on my hands and knees under the computer desk is a drag & a bore!
