Since the first 6' USB3 micro b to USB3 cable caused "chirps" when a 1' cable didn't, on the SD28 XT 500Gb drive in the USBV3 Buss powered laptop drive.... My neighbor has a 4' Seagate USBV3 Micro b to USBV3 cable that he's going to let me borrow for testing with the Buss powered USBV3 laptop drive. Wouldn't it be a pleasant surprise if the 4' Seagate cable worked like the 1' Chinese cable did, though the 6' Chinese cable didn't !! Will post after the tests.....

I just tried my neighbor's USBV3 drive cable on the XT SD28 500Gb drive.... The 1' supplied cable works. The Seagate 4' cable works... The 6' Chineese/Ebay cable doesn't work.

Both of the cables that work have a longer Micro b connector plug than the cable that doesn't work....

Looks Like I'm looking for a Seagate 4' USBV3 cable !!!

Wouldn't you agree that its annoying to keep trying to get seagate to answer on these forums?? They really need to get on here more often everytime I post something its like a week before I get any replys its really annoying!!!
