I have a Seagate Momentus 7200.4 500Gb internal SATA hard drive, which has recently developed a glitch:
The drive has been divided into four partitions, and access to the files on one of those partitions is been denied to me by the system.

I have used System Mechanic 10 to diagnose and repair the drive problems; this did not solve the error.
I defragmented the hard drive; this did not solve the error.
I have tried remounting the drive; this did not solve the error.
Now I turn to you, the Seagate Community for help. Will you aid me in solving this error?

What do you mean when you say that access is denied? Is it a security or protection issue? Can you see the drive letter and folder structure in My Computer?
