I, along with some others, got the 2nd beta to test if it works so I thought to make a thread and basically, if you got the 2nd SD25 beta, did it work?
I'll start:
-Windows 7 x64
-EXE Method
-Updated to SD25 without a problem
Details:
The harddrive is back to its SD23 speed or even faster, will do further tests and report on them in time.(for me SD24 was a slight slowdown)

so the 2nd beta is the next release that fixes the bug that we cannot update?

I have success as well. It seemed to boot a tad slower for me, but it is too early to really tell. Still testing, but no problems so far (although I never really had issues except for perceived battery decrease, perceived as I didn't have an official base to work from, removed included drive before ever even powering on).
System is MBP 8,2 2.3 Quad i7 8GB RAM running OSX 10.6.7
ISO Method used
SD25 without issues (had test sd25 prior)

I have one of the test drives with s25 on it. No luck with updating to the recently released s25. That could simply mean I don't need it and I already have it. Waiting for clarification on that; regardless the new "test," drive I have is working great in my 2011 2.2 i7 quad MBP 17'. Very happy so far keeping in mind I have been up and running with the test drive for only about a week.
Hope this helps.
