Everyone,
Please try to download it again. The wrong file was put online last night. :-(
It should be good to go as of today. Let me know if it's still not working.

I just downloaded the file 10 minutes ago and the new iso image does not work - same effect as before.
SD24 is not detected as a compatible version.
But I wonder why the new iso image should work because it is exactly the same as the file i downloaded yesterday.
Same file sizes and same file dates.
Have a look to the file dates shown in the picture!!!!!
The new files are not online!?

Yerg, I was just told that it was not updated last night. Double :-(
OK, it's been updated on the website but it's not surfacing live yet.
I don't see it going past midnight Central tonight. It's frustrating, but we tried all the tricks for clearing the Seagate caches.
The file size, once the file updates on the live version, will be different. It's about 2 KB bigger than the one that everyone has so far gotten.
This is a better version because there is new chipset compatibility on the flash tool. This is not a different firmware level than the SD25 announced yesterday, so don't flash SD25 twice.
Very sorry about all this.

is this for the Mac iso too or just PC?

Just updated the firmware to SD25 on a Macbook Pro. All I can say is WOW!!!!! My computer started up noticeably faster and I guess we will see if all the other things work.
Now - the problem I have is I have bought several of these drives. I have 2 of them in a Mac Mini Server. The issue is that the drives are in a mirrored RAID set. What is the best way (least downtime) to update the firmware on these drives? It would really be nice if the update utility would update a RAID set but I understand the dangers in that. Perhaps the Seagate people could respond to this. I've been a big customer lately.

New ISO worked on macbook 2011 17" (8,3). So far so good: no beeping an load-cycle is stable now in
SMART.
