I've tried to flash the drive with the Sd25 ISO-file, but no luck.
I got the message (somthing like this
Hardrive match. No firmware match. No upgrade.
I have the SD24 installed right now (factory default). Just downloaded the SD25 ISO (for Momentus XT)
Ow ehhh I had to use the ISO, because i have a Macbook.... No Windows available here, No Mac firmware-updater there ![]()

Same here
AND
I had the test/preview version of the SD25 installed (via ISO) on the drive (which was given by STX_NB to selected testers in this forum) when I tried to now install the final SD25 over the preview SD25 (I compared them binary and their .img files are different) --- again via the ISO method

After installing SD25 my HDD's startup noise went up real good and the overall noise also went up. SD22 was quiet but had problems, however, SD25 is noisy. Isn't there a middle way?

On my MacBook 6,1, I was careful enough to stay with the SD23 firmware, and it was mostly ok, except for some strange noises and beach balls.
The update to the SD25 firmware was very smooth, and all seems to be ok. The drive is faster than before, and is certainly quieter.
Thanks !
[Update] Of course, I used the ISO method
[Update 2] purenarcotic: ST95005620AS with SD23 succes, ISO, MacBook 6,1 (not MacBook Pro).
