non bootable device found

Hi,

My laptop (DELL Latitude E6400) no more starts with the momentum 500 I installed several months ago to replace the EOM disk. It behaves as if there is no HD. However, the disk is recognized as an external disk when I exchange it with another bootable disk, and I can (fortunately) access to the data. This occured after the unplugged computer turned off, out of power. What can I do? May this problem be fixed with a firmware re-installation or upgrade?

Thank you

Re: non bootable device found

If it is Parallel ATA, please try our PATA troubleshooter.

If Serial ATA, the SATA troubleshooter.

Re: non bootable device found

Is the SATA connection that your computer supports 1.5 or 3.0?
