I have a Maxtor One Touch 4. Serial # s 2HA4EPDB.
My problem is that I was creating folders on the Maxtor and moving files into them a few nights ago. I then deleted the folders containing those files from my desktop. Now I see that all the folders (dozens of them) are still there on the Maxtor but the files inside the folders are completely gone. In fact, it appears the folders are completely empty but when I hover over a folder that should have, for example, 50 mb worth of data, the folder size is around 10 kb, (but not zero for whatever reason.)
The files had contained hundreds of family photos and videos.
I was planning to do an online backup of all these files tonight since I deleted them from my desktop hard drive (obviously a bad idea) shortly after moving them to the Maxtor.
One final note: I did click on "restore historical version" of backed up files but it only gives me the option to restore the most recent version. It does not list the other historical versions. Although I don't know whether this would help anyway.
Any help would be abundandly appreciated as these family photos and videos mean a lot to us.
Thank you!
Hugh

The folders are on the drive, even down 5 subdir,
I've recovered about 150gb of the 300gb on the drive, some files I have copies of and didn't even look to see if I could restore them. But no problems yet.
