Recently I had my laptop crash beyond repair. It was running XP. I purchased a new one with Windows 7. Now when I try to open the BlackArmor to retreive stored files it comes up and then says "BlackArmor has stopped working" and shuts off. I've checked the device and it says the files are healthy. I've tried downloading a new driver from Seagate, reinstalling the program, and calling it names. Nothing seems to be helping. Any ideas?

I have the same problem too... I just got a new computer had Backup on Windows Vista Ultimate, worked great when entire computer stopped working? Now I have a new laptop Windows 7 home and got my backup files out of the NAS 110, but now I can't get Black Armor Backup software to work without stopping in the beginning on Windows 7 laptop.
So I want to backup new laptop onto NAS 110 bu the Backup software won't work? Please help me.

I also run Win 7 64 bit and have found that the BlackArmor Backup software hangs at the initializing screen after analyzing partitions. If I wait 30 min to 1 hour, it finally opens up and works. Annoying to have to wait but at least it does work.
