I'm having this weird problem that i can't view none of my files on my laptop with windows XP when connected to my onetouch 4 plus. I do see the amount of space that is used and available, but  not 1 file is in there but an autorun notepad page. I have it hooked up to a satellite box so i can download movies and shows directly to my hard drive. All my files and folders are viewable through my satellite box, but not my computers. The last time I succesfully used a document or saved to my hard drive i was hooked up to a desktop with windows vista. Would that have cause a problem? Any help would greatly be appreciated. I really do need to retreive important data from my hard drive. Thanks in advanced.

I'm having the same problem too... i can't view my files from the harddrive. once when i opened my computer and the harddrive was plug in the computer and then before entering windows it tells me that one of the drives (which is the maxtor) is unstable and then it checked the disc. When i checked my harddrive all my files are gone. then i reformat the harddrive and put a partition on it. Now i can't see half of the files on my HD. Why is this happening? is there a way that i can avoid this one. it is really hard to retrieve all the files that i lost..
