Deleting default files?

Hello. I'd like to ask you if i'm supposed to delete the files which were already stored in my MaxtorOneTouch4Plus. I mean, there are too many folders which i don't think i need... unless you say the contrary. Thank you. :smileyhappy:

Re: Deleting default files?

I just bought the 4 mini and I have the same question.

I copied all of the files/folders that came pre-loaded on my 4 mini to my computer. I'm guessing it's safe to delete them all from the 4 mini. The only reason I can think of to keep them on the 4 mini is if I ever want to install the Maxtor software on another computer. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm thinking about creating a single folder on my 4 mini and putting all of the pre-loaded files/folders in there, just to reduce the clutter.

Any thoughts or advice?

Re: Deleting default files?

probably no need to keep it around, though you might consider keeping it SOMEwhere.  like a CDROM at least or on your computer hard drive.
i don't think the folders are very big...
but Tech support gives that software out if you just call adn tell them you have a onetouch 4
