Downgraded a Vistas laptop to XP and now the files on Maxtor OneTouch Mini III are not accessible

I bought a HP Pavilion laptop with Vistas in September.  I finally had enough of Vistas and just had XP put back on it.  When I plug in my Maxtor OneTouch Mini III, the computer will recognize the drive but there is no access to the files.  It doesn't appear I can access the files from my XP machine OR another Vistas machine.
 
Any suggestions?
