I have set up the hard drive with a password. When I boot up it usually asks for the password (which it should) but about 25% of the time there is no passowrd required. Is that happening with other people? It makes me wonder how good the DrivePass security is ........
Have you found an answer ? Same thing for me. When the Drive is unplugged and I plug it in, it asks me a password. But when I just close my computer and come back 2 days after, when i log on, it doesn't ask anything...
Acronis True Image Home can password protect each backup that you are doing. Make sure you download the latest release as they are continually updating the Linux drivers. That was the main issue that I have had with Maxtor and then Acronis. They don't want to pay the money to Microsoft so they end up with something that works with most caes but unfortunately not all.
