Is it normal for a Seagate external hard drive to have to not work for a couple of minutes when you simply click to save something to it? Thing that's happening is I can not be using the external hard drive for like 5 minutes while I'm browsing the internet and then when I come across something I want to save and click the save button to do so the hard drive simply doesn't respond for like 2 full minutes. It's really annoying to have to keep waiting every time I go to download something to it. It also basically takes over my internet explorer while it's doing that because the save as box doesn't disappear until it begins to save. Now just today I was looking at a picture that I had from before. I had just opened the picture and went to crop it and then save it, and the hard drive did the same thing. Had to think about what it needed to do for a good minute. Seems to me that sometimes the light is on and other times it's not when it does this. And this hard drive is not that old, but as I was just asking up above wondering if this is a typical external hard drive feature. If it is then fine, if not I'll provide more details about my particular hard drive.
