Maxtor Manager v4.1.1.23
XP Pro
Maxtor drive is recognized, can copy files to and fro.
Moved install from MaxMini
1. Connected drive to USB2 port, detectes with no issues.
2. AutoPlay asks for action,selcted no action.
3. Move install to c: per included instructions
4. install starts.
5. green progress bars complete but stay on screen.
6. maxtor manager starts. It appears to see drive.
7. computer tries to open another copy, then another, constantly gets Maxtor Manager is already open!
8. fight my way opening boxes to service manager, stopped Maxtor manager servers. Now pop up stops. Close all windows.
9. open maxtor manager via desktop icon created by install app, cannot find drive
10. reboot
11. after login it tries to open over an over again.
12 stop service no longer does this.
13. open maxtor manager via desktop icon, does not try to open more copies, but cannot see drive.
14. open my computer, drive is accesable, can write to it.
Uninstall tried again, same exact issues.
tried from USB drive, failed again.
Move install files to sub folder on one touch, thinking auto play was starting the copies, did not help.
Bought to use maxtor manager as a schedule backup device. Setup batch file to back up files using windows schedular and batch file but this is not ldeal.
Help please!.
