Hi , at 05-Dec-2008 i bought a Maxtor Basics Desktop 1TB with serial number 2HBET5LL , STM310005EHD301-RK ! When i came home , i formated , and it was ok from the size view . I start to copying up to 200GB from an internal hard drive . It wanted almost 1 day to complete t h e transfer. When the transfer completed i tried to access in my files which copied . Guess what ! I cant access in my files because it pop up me the message which said that t h e files has been blasted(corrupted) !! I can see t h e files but not open any file or picture or video to see ! I disconnected and take it to t h e store where i bought it before two days . He connected t h e hard disk and he saw the problem !He said that he cant do anything and he said that t h e drive does not seems to have any problem !!!! 
I have just lost up to 200 GB without any back up in the corner ! When i came home i formated again and it was steel 1TB size . In those two months i have t h e drive when i downloading files sudenly t h e path to hard drive does not exist ( G:....downloads ) !!! T h e system appears the message "t h e path G:...downloads does not exist ", and it says that maybe t h e files are blasted ! I turn the power supply of and turn it on again and everything is ok then . After 7- 9 days t h e same problem appears !!!
