Maxtor One Touch 4 - Can't hear it running anymore and computer can't see it.

Its almost as if its just dead.  I have been using it with my new iMac and timemachine accesses it almost daily.  Well today I went to go view pictures and its just not in my list.  I made sure it was plugged in etc, and even tried plugging in the power to a different outlet.  I can't hear it running and when I press the front button that usually blinks, nothing happens.  Its almost as if its dead??

 

Please help!  I have all my pictures of my family and videos backed up on here.

My first one did that about 4 days old.  I did not drop it or abuse it in any way.  Just DIED. The replacement is still going at 4 months old....

 

Drive should run when power applied with no usb connected.  if not....

So did Maxtor replace yours?  I have only had this for about 6 months.  

 

Is there any way to get my files off of it???  This sucks! :-(  I have tons of baby photos of my kids on there.... boooo!
