My OneTouch II external hard drive was working perfectly and I was backing up almost daily when, for no apparent reason, the Welcome screen appeared with "Updating status" and "0 restore points available" showed. So I could not backup any more and it appeared that I could not have restored either even if I'd wanted to. The hard disc was full of restore points though when I looked at it in Windows Explorer.
I decided to uninstall everything, wipe the drive and start again.
I reinstalled everything.
I am still getting the "Updating status" and "0 restore points available" screen. Automatic backup and Backup now are greyed out. If I press the "setup" button then nothing happens and the screen just sits there for hours.
I have done a google search and it appears that a number of people have experienced the same problem - but I could not ascertain the answer in any case.
Any bright ideas?
