My Mac wont read my Seagate anymore and I want to recover old files from it.

I switch from a PC to Mac and connected my very old seagate to it.  The seagate name says ST90000U2, It is 100GB.  I bought it back in 2005.  At first it worked on the Mac and I was able to transfer my music and videos put now it does not work and I have my pictures and word docs in it.  How can I recover them?  I tried switching to another computer PC, not mac and it says that it has not been formated and need to but I know I will loose all my data if I choose to format.

Please help.  I have thousand of pictures that do not want to loose

Hello:
Please try our external drive troubleshooter - http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/troubleshooting_assistance/

You may need to use a data recovery software.
