New 2TB Expansion will not work on Media Players

Can somebody please help?

 

I have purchased a 2TB Expansion which i have connected to 2 different Media Players and neither will detech the HDD.

The other HDD i have is detectable on both Media players so they are not the problem.

 

I have searched in vein for what the problem could be to no avail. The Seagate Expansion is set to NTFS and the files are viewable on my Laptop using Windows 7.

 

Can anyone please assist me as i dont want to have to get another brand.
