OneTouch III failed - RAID 1 - how do I get the data?

Help!  I'm not super tech-savvy (just know enough to get into trouble)...my 1TB OneTouch III now makes a horrid clicking sound when powered up, and isn't recognized by Vista anymore.  Nneedless to say, we have a ton of files stored there (some backed up, but I admidt I felt fairly safe with the RAID 1 configuration).  So how do I get the data back?

 

The manual is great about telling me how to set up RAID 1, but not how to take advantage of it.

 

My apologies if this has been asked, I failed miserably at searching this forum.

Thanks, Alan. I guess I should have mentioned that I did work through the troubleshooting, but no luck.  The drive just makes a horrible noise and then isn't visible anywhere.  Is there a thread in the common issues page taht will help me get the data off the drive I thought I mirrored it to?

Yes, you need to go through the complete steps of troubleshooting non-detected drives.
