Hello,

  I just recieved a Seagate Expansion 1TB external drive. I would like to know if I can partition it, and if so, what is the best software to do it with?

I have Windows XP sp3 installed on my HP notebook.

I'd like to partition it into 3 or 4 sections if at all possible.

1 for my music, 1 for videos, 1 for assorted downloads and maybe 1 for other assorted stuff.

hi,

you can connect PC via USB and my computer right click------> manage----->disk management for partition

Thanks Solution. But I found something called GParted, Worked perfectly for my needs.
