Hi all,

I appreciate if u can help.

I just bought an OneTouch 4 Mini (250GB) model: ST9025030TM301-RK .

I'm trying to make a safety copy on my laptop using the SafetyDrill but I encountered an error saying:

"Error starting SafetyDrill Copy.
Your Drive may not be correctly connected. Check yr drive connections & try again to make a SafetyDrill Copy.
You may not have configured this OneTouch drive for SafetyDrill Copy.
Launch Maxtor Manager & click "Safety" to configure the drive."

I've checked & ascertain that the connection is ok since i can open the drive & see its contents. I've also successfully use the BACKUP utility before. I can also see the drive listed in the MY Drives after starting the Maxtor Manager. This is the 1st time I'm trying the SafetyDrill.

I then tried the SafetyDrill function on my another pc. But I get the following error msg:

"SafetyDrill will not create images for following drives: C:
Click ok to continue or cancel to abort ..."

If i proceed with continue, I get msg "Image creation completed with errors." The View Log shows:

"20080503 12:58:45] Started
[20080503 12:58:45] Configuration file is corrupted
[20080503 12:58:45] Exiting due to errors"

I don't know how to make of the error msg/log.

Please advice. Need urgent reply. Thanks.

Hi All,

   I have the same issue once I execute the SafetyDrill, the error message is as the following:


[20080805 16:22:38] Started
[20080805 16:22:38] Configuration file is corrupted
[20080805 16:22:38] Exiting due to errors
[20080805 16:22:47] Exiting progress thread


Would it be possible to reply me how to fix this issue as soon as you can, thanks.

  Attempt it again after you completely uninstall and reinstall the software with the drive detached.  Use this link for the software:
