My laptop has the following virus: worm.win32.netsky
from reading several other posts on here i see that too find out if my Maxtor has the virus i need to run a scan on it - on just the external hard drive. i can't use my laptop at all so i'm using another one. my question is if i run a scan on the Maxtor on another computer and my Maxtor has a virus, will the virus be transferred/copied/whatever to the laptop I am using?
