Re-formatting Expansion drive

As a teacher I have been using Seagate Expansion 1tb drive to record Bell express Vu documentaries for my students. I now find that I cannot load the files to my computer for editing. Is there a way to do so and if not how can I re-format the drive so that I can use it again as a backup device on my computer (Windows 7 64bits)

Thank you

Re: Re-formatting Expansion drive

What happens when you try to load the files?

How are you doing it?

Can you move the files back over to the computer, and if so, do they work properly?

To reformat, which will erase the data on the drive - Windows7 format HDD
