I have bought a Maxtor One Touch 4 Mini USB Device and wanted to use the Safety Drill function.
When I start the funktion it starts to work perfect - it seems. It shows Safety Drill Copy is created. The Safety Drill shows the current process actions and state. It runs up to 632.56 MB (Bytes read) (progress 3% (partition 1of 1)) and then nothing more happens. It stays like that until I stop it 24hours or later. But no error window etc. appears. It just stands like that.
I do not see what the hinds the progress to go on. I do not know how to finish the safety drill. I have tried serveral times.
The drive I want to save is 17GB. The partition has in total 20GB. I shows more then 1.6GB of free space.
Here are some information on the system I use: Win XP home, SP2, 1 GH, 512 MB RAM.
Some recommendation on that issue?
I would appreciate every hint.
