Hello - I am hoping someone can pls help me with getting my Maxtor OneTouch II so it works again. I have a Dell Dimension 9100 with Windows XP SP 2. My OneTouch II used to work fine, but now I get this error whenever I tyr to do a Backup or Duplicate:
Scanning incomplete error - 1001 (unknown Windows OS error) Execution incomplete
I can view the contents of the drive using Windows Explorer & can even read previously duplicated files directly from the drive. I have tried reinstalling the Maxtor OneTouch & Retrospect software & I made sure I had the latest version of Retrospect from the Maxtor site (ver 1.1.127). I have also tried various combinations of rebooting & disconnecting/connecting the drive. I have tried using both USB & 1394/Firewire connections (my Maxtor OneTouch II supports both connections).
