I've looked for information about my error but haven't found anything so I hope that someone can help me here.
I've an external harddrive as mentioned in subject and sometimes it looses all of it's information, it doesn't have any occurring tasks when it's happening. I can see all my folders but no content. If I unplug it, my computer still detects it and I can see my folders but no content, if I plug it in again still no difference. The only thing that helps is restarting the computer then it works again but the same error can happen after 10 minutes again.
Anyone have any idea why this is happening and if there is something I can do about it?

How is the drive connected, and which operating system are you using?
Please update your USB chipset drivers by following the guidelines provided in the following article:
Does the same occur if you move the drive to another port or computer? What happens when you replace the USB cable?

It's connected by USB 3.0 and I have windows 7 as OS.
I will try and see if updating ths USB drivers will help.
Different portdoesn't matter, haven't tried a diffrent computer or replaced the USB cable.
