I hav a Seagate 9sd2a3-500. I have had it for a couple of years. I have lost the original software. I have recently upgraded to windows 7 and the drive worked fine for a while. I recently pluged the drive in and the computer no longer recognises the drive. It see's it as a seagate drive but only 1.99Gb. Not the 320Gb it should be. I have searched the Seagate website for software and drivers but have found nothing. Can anyone sugest anything thanks?

Is the data backed up?
If not, try the drive on another computer to see how it behaves.
If you can't get the data, use a data recovery software to get the data first.
Once you're where the data is safe, right-click on (My) Computer.
In the lower window, find the box "Disk 1" or whatever this drive is.
What does it say there?
Also, in any of the boxes to the right of the "Disk _" box, right-click and delete everything you can until the drive shows Unallocated. Then right-click on the Unallocated and choose Create New Volume, and create a new primary partition. Use Perform a quick format, also.

Sorry if I'm being dumb....I don't get it.
