Yet again, here is another seagate software package that is not well thought out and/or complete. Seriously folks, I can use xcopy, explorer, or even any number of 3rd party tools to backup up mapped drives, so why not the backup drive/solution I just purchased?!?
I've seen this type of half baked solution from seagate in the last few products I've purchased (Mirra for example) and I'm quite disappointed. For future purchases, I will consider all Seagate "features" like One Touch to be non-functional/non-existent when I make my purchase decision. And for software dependent solutions like Mirra Server, I will NOT be buying a Seagate solution.
I've been a seagate customer for 20 years now, but not any longer unless you guy stop producing half baked products.

Yep.. kind of silly to get software that is crippled and free software that works the way you want it.
Just FYI, I have another external backup options from a big name company... their forum is just as bad with problems and dead hardware.
Had to check out why my item died. It seems a 2 1/2 year old power supply for it when DOA.
But it didn't go dead, it just became too weak to run the HD. So the lights would go on. Their PS would just not let the HD spin up. Nice !
Got a PS off E-bay and that item is working. It's a known problem on the forum....
An again, users saying they would never buy from So-and-So again ! !
Kind of amazing all the problems people are having with computer software and hardware, yet, really. There are few companies out there.
