Hi!
I'm searching for info on STBV2000200. It doesn't exist here on the website and the info I find about it's contradicting. What I'm mainly looking for is whether or not you can power it with only a 3.0 USB port or if you need an additional power supply.

If this is the 2tb expansion desktop expansion drive....then you'll need the power supply that comes with the drive to use it.
Are you having troubles with the drive being recognized on a usb 3.0 port or what?

I was offered it as a replacement drive instead of a 2,5" harddrive because off a mess up at the store. It's a extremely good deal considering the original harddrive was a lot cheaper, just not sure I want a external harddrive that requires a additional power supply.
A power supply isn't listed as "Inside the Box" in the datasheet I found like it's on other models that require a power supply.

i have just recievd one of these drives 2tb version.
it does come with 1 usb 3 cable and power mains adapter..
i do have a problem with mine tho.
it states its usb3 and usb2 compatible but i cant seem to be able to get mine to show up.
im running windows 7 home premium 64.
i did notice that the only cable that is provided looks different to my other usb cable so im guessing its a usb3.
so how would i go about getting this to work with usb2.
i have tried all my usb slots of which i no are working fine as i have other drives i use as well.
hopefully a tech minded soul can help me out.
regards
Mick
