Re: Software Update

Hi kstyo:

We'd like to know more about this error, if you have a chance.

Could you share the P/N of your drive?  Check on the little white label on the drive.

What is the software you're using?

What OS?

What kind of computer?

Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

Could you post a screenshot of the error?

Does it happen every time you click on "check for software update"?

Has the software update ever worked before?

Could you check your Event Viewer for the times this happens?  To do that, first make the error happen.  Then right-click on (My) Computer > Manage > Event Viewer > System - look for a Warning or Error that accompanied the error.  Then check in the Application section of the Event Viewer, same thing.  Post any info about those errors or warnings here.

Thank you!

When I try to run disc wizard from the start menu on my Windows-XP machine, I get the message:

Please contact the application's support team for more information

I installed the wizard from Seagate DiscWizard Setup 11.0.0.8326
