....now Vista doesn't load.
Hi.
I installed the new Service Pack 2 that Window's put out not to long ago as it came up in my updates. Figuring it would help my computer and what not, I installed it. It said it sucessfully installed and to reboot. I rebooted.
While rebooting, my computer said while rebooting that the service back installation failed and that Window's would be trying to restore my previous settings.
After all this, I find that my internet card was turned off. Completely off along with my MTP. That ticked me off real quick. After I installed the Service Pack, the Updates said I needed to install 10 more updates. I tried to install them, thinking it would help, but they failed to install.
I have been previously backing up my computer with Seagate's Replica. I figured that I would be able to use the System Restore to restore my computer back to before Service Pack 2 as the system restore on Windows failed to work or allow me to restore to any point. So I went ahead and went through the complete system restore...twice.
My computer which is an Acer Extensa, fails to load Windows, not counting Safe Mode. I get a blue screen saying there is an error and it needs to shut down immeditly. It takes forever to load the start-up screen.
I would like to know how I can resume my computer to it's normal state. My data and everything is on there, including my Windows Vista, put on using my Replica. When I go to turn my computer on, it goes to the loading screen, but it never gets to the Welcome screen or anything beyond that.
Basically, my computer is having an issue with loading Vista.
Seagate isn't fulfilling the part where it's "easy" to recover your computer using the recovery disk.
