Windows 7 doesn't recognize OneTouch III

I have try to hook up my Maxtor OneTouch III 500 GB drive to my computer after installing Windows 7 32 bit.  The drive doesn't show up in My Computer or Windows Explorer.  However it is listed in Control Panel>Hardware and Sound> Devices and Printers.  There it indicates it is working properly but I can't access it.

I haven't found any reference to Windows 7 for this drive nor can I find any indication there is a new driver for Windows 7.

What should I do next.  Really need to get access to it as it has my backup files.

Sounds  like it is password locked.  Take it back to the original PC and disable the password.

Or use the OneTouch 4 Lite software to unlock it.

Re: Windows 7 doesn't recognize OneTouch III

I have the same problem but I no longer have a vista comp. I looked at your OneTouch 4 Lite software  link and it says this will only work on a vista machine. Can I install in on a windows 7 machine and still do an unlock?
