cNeed Help: Decrypt and Recognizing One touch 3 Mini - New computer with Vista

Dear Forum,

I am a new member in desparate need of help.  Here is my background:

I have an 80 GB Maxtor Onetouch 3 mini.  I used to have a computer with XP which recently melted down.  I now have a new computer with Vista (i think home version, 64 bit OS).  I had my data encrypted on my old hard drive.  I am now unable to access my files.

I tried installing the onetouch mini 3 for Vista SW but when it runs, I get an error message that reads "Maxtor EasyManage has stopped working"...a probem has caused the program to stop working correctly...".

When I plug in the drive, the computer recognizes it but I have no icon that pops up on my computer.  If I go to computer management/device manager, the drive is there as well.  Therefore, I beleive I do not have a HW problem with the drive but some SW issue I have been unable to diagnose.  Can you all help me?

Try using the OneTouch 4 Lite software.  I know it's not the same thing as you're expecting, but try it. Tutorial.

See here for more info.

Also, since you're a 64-bit OS, see this post from the mod if you have trouble getting the software working.
