st320005exd101-rk cause Windows 7 unable to shutdown

Every time after using this drive Windows 7 cant shutdown (shutdown screen takes forever).

I use safe remove, power off and even disconnect this drive before shutting down windows, but problem remains.

I would make sure that you have the latest USB drivers installed on the computer. There's a great article available on our Seagate Facebook page about this:

It would also be good to disable the sleep settings by using the following utility:
